‘If The Hat Fits’ is a compilation that includes the author’s life-long poems that span forty-five years. Some will make you laugh; with others you will reminisce; some will raise an eyebrow; and others will make you cry; because something in here just resonates with you or someone you know. Her small-town upbringing is the crux of her friendly character and serious determination. Although Lupita has faced many difficult challenges, she has persevered and is humbled by her personal accomplishments and her professional career. The tenth of twelve siblings, a wife, mom, grandmother, attorney, poet, and Author, Lupita Almaraz has always been dedicated to giving the best of herself in all her endeavors. She delivers just that in her writings in this book. Some of the author’s poetry in this compilation was written at age twelve, through her teens, and into the present -- many of which she is sharing for the first time. One may just be about you!
